Taekwondo
At Cooper’s New England Martial Arts, we offer Olympic style Taekwondo.  Aside from learning practical self-defense in a fun and safe environment, students will learn safety strategies that help them identify and avoid unsafe situations.  Students will improve their coordination, balance, flexibility and stamina while at the same time learning self defense.  In addition to the physical benefits, students will also learn the values like respect, self-discipline, positive mental attitude, confidence, teamwork and to help each other.  Martial Art training is a life long and life changing, positive experience.

Taekwondo is one of the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts, that teaches more than physical fighting skills.  It is a discipline that shows ways to enhancing our spirit and life through training our body and mind.  Taekwondo has become an Olympic sport.  Taekwondo literally means "The way of hand and foot" as "Tae" means foot, and "Kwon" means hand, and "Do" means way of.
