Our Mixed Martial Art (MMA) classes consist of training variety of techniques that originated from other traditional and non-traditional martial art styles.  Students of MMA learn some aspects Stand-up Offense and Defense techniques as well as Ground defense and offense techniques to arm our students with complete and well rounded education on what can be done in all situation.  Our MMA class is good for all levels from beginners, intermediate and advanced people with or no martial art background.
Stand up Offense and Defense
The stand up techniques that are taught in our MMA class includes striking and blocking systems which also includes, dodging, punching, kicking, throws and footwork.  These elements were taken from several different styles of martial arts that are highly effect and provides our student with great foundation for standup techniques.
  • The 8 limb striking system from Muay Thai,
  • Fast punching from boxing
  • Power punching from Karate
  • Power Kicks from Muay Thai and Karate
  • Science of kicking from Taekwondo
  • Throws and leveraging from Combat Judo
  • Footwork from boxing and Taekwondo
  • Dodging from boxing
  • Blocking system - Muay Thai, Karate, MMA 
 
Ground work
The ground work consist of ground defense and ground offense.  The ground defense drives from general grappling styles such as Jujitsu, Sambo and wrestling.   The ground offense we primarily use valetudo.  The term "valetudo" is brazilian for "anything goes" which originated in 1950's to utilize any striking from the top position.
 
Stamina & Endurance
Conditioning to build stamina and endurance is important for any athletes and martial artist.  We developed a special conditioning class that is good for anyone who is trying to develop their stamina and endurance. 
 

 
Development of a natural body armor
In MMA training as you constantly train your body to take punishments you are conditioning your body to become stronger and to develop a natural body armor!  In MMA class there are certain training that we offer to our students to develop their own body armor.
 
We offer two free trial with no obligation and no strings attached.  Come experience what others are loving so much and see if you share that same excitement!
 
What you need to bring with you for a free trial:
  • Attire: wear comfortable workout clothes (No cutoffs or jogging shorts please)
  • MMA gloves or Handwraps to protect your hands and wrist
  • Towel
  • Bottle water (if you don't have one or forget, we sell them for $1.00 per small bottle) 
  • Come prepared for a great workout and expect to sweat!!!
Note: We do sell MMA gloves and handwraps in our school for your convenience.  Ask us about what we have in stock to sell, or you can also purchase them online at  Gears and Products.  You can shop around and are NOT required to purchase them directly from us as long as you know what we recommend for each class.
